Chile is Latin America's special case: the first South American member of the OECD, with the strongest institutions, the most reliable infrastructure and, at the end of the road, the strongest passport in Latin America, the only one with ESTA access to the US and visa-free entry to Canada. For tax, Chile is a hybrid with a remarkable window: as a new resident you pay tax for 3 years, extendable to up to 6 on application, only on Chilean-source income, while your foreign income stays untaxed for that period. That window is where the presence-heavy build-up phase belongs: for the fastest route, no more than two months' absence in the roughly two years until permanent residence, which then applies for life and only lapses after more than two years' continuous absence. After 5 years naturalisation opens up. Our three Chile services cover this whole path, from the Residencia Temporal and the Residencia Definitiva to the passport. Chile is not for low-presence backup plans, but it is hard to beat if you want a genuine new home of world standard.
