Who Shareholder (USD 10,000 capital) is for

For investors and entrepreneurs who become resident through their own Salvadoran company.

Requirements

• You form an S.A.S. with USD 10,000 in capital; the registry fees are waived under Decreto Legislativo 468 until 31 December 2026, and temporary residence now requires only 90 days of presence a year.
• Your own company in El Salvador (S.A.S. (Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada)); the formation is included as a fixed item: USD 1,600. Minimum capital USD 10,000, paid into the company, not a fee. In El Salvador the registry fees for the S.A.S. are waived until 31 December 2026 (Decreto Legislativo 468). Ongoing bookkeeping and registered office not included.

Permanent residence

Temporary residence with a work permit; after three years the path to permanent residency opens.
